The first noticeable thing about the game is its nice graphics, which feature a delightful anime-style character design. The main character, who manages the store and buys and sells objects, is an adorable little girl who's always with a fairy that will guide you through the tutorial and show you how to play.
Once you get out of the store, you can go around the whole village, talking with its different residents and going into the many buildings in it. Although perhaps the most entertaining thing is the ability to go into dungeons and explore them, kill monsters, and collect treasure (that you can later sell).
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is a very entertaining title that its look might cause to seem focused on a young audience. Nevertheless, its complex gameplay and entertaining playability will make anyone enjoy it.
The trial version only lets you play the first part of the game.
